Account Manager
At Hometown Rivalry, an Account Manager is tasked with building relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring that their orders are set up to exceed expectation on delivery. This individual must be excited to gain an expert understanding of HTR's products, services and processes and well as become an authority on HTR's values and business practices.
The day-to-day of this role is fast paced, requiring a lot of multitasking, problem resolution, and a go-getter work ethic. From entering data and processing orders, to calls with customers to define their needs, to troubleshooting design, stock and delivery challenges, each day revolves around serving our customers well.
Contract Term & Remunerations
- Part-time employee. 8-16 hours per week, flexible between the hours of 10am and 6pm, Monday to Thursday.

Heat Press Machine Operator
We are seeking a supremely detail-oriented, personable and self-starting individual to join our team. The individual must be an exceptionally motivated and organized team player who can prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
This individual must be excited to gain an expert understanding of HTR's products, services and processes and well as become an authority on HTR's values and business practices.
Objective
Produce the absolutely best-looking gear for our customers, as ordered and according to company standards.
Contract Term & Remunerations
- Part-time employee. 8-16 hours per week, flexible between the hours of 10am and 6pm, Monday to Thursday.
- Compensation: Starting at $17/hour.
- Ensure all order aspects are properly organized, correct and complete.
- Ensure completed products adhere to job specifications and meet quality of work standards.
- Operate a heat press to apply customization aspects (names, numbers, logos, labels) to apparel.
- Prepare products for application of names and numbers on customized apparel.
- Accurately report any quality issues to Production Coordinator.
- General production tasks as required, such as bagging and tagging apparel and assisting in inventory counts.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, storage areas and workstations tidy, including updating bin storage in the most efficient way possible to accommodate fluid stock levels.
- Ensure work area meets company standards checklist at the end of every shift.
Technical Considerations
- Must be fluent in English (written and oral).
- On-site training provided for entire scope of work
- Design background or experience in clothing customization or manufacturing preferred.
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are a definite asset.
Candidate Qualifications
Individuals successful in this role must be a team player willing to pitch in as needed, as well as be very focused and extremely detail-oriented, good with their hands and have good eyesight and spatial sense.
Candidate must have strong time management skills, be able to read and understand production work orders and be able to stay calm and work under the pressure of tight timelines.
Candidates must be physically able to carry boxes of 20-50lbs, operate a heat press (small machine requiring the lifting and pressing of a lever), and spend most of their work day standing.

Graphic Artist & Large Format Printer Operator
Hometown Rivalry, Port Perry, Ontario.
- Create the best quality, accurate pre-production proofs to present to prospective clients under the guidance of Lead Designer. Upload them to our ecommerce store.
- Operate large format printers, cutters, sublimation printers and manage print projects from start to finish.
- Ensure absolute best product quality and top notch communication with our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
Graphic Design
- Technical file preparation for screen printed, embroidered, cutters and sublimated products.
- Photograph and prepare images of completed products for online marketing and print use.
- Create images and designs for our online storefront. Manage inventory and content.
- Communicate with clients, send art proofs and manage collections.
Large Format Printing
- Creation of print-ready technical files, including laying out individualized units with unique names/numbers.
- Operation of large format sublimation printers, including the preparation of printed papers for delivery to production.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished garments to ensure quality, consistency and adherence to production proofs and standards and process/report issues according to guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate is a positive, self-motivated team player who is driven to work hard to help keep production operating at peak efficiency and on schedule. Quality-focused thinking and extreme attention to detail is a must, as is the ability to multi-task, manage your time effectively, and work under tight deadlines.
We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable individual with a great work ethic to join our design team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
- Extreme attention to detail required.
- Minimum of 2 years' graphic design experience, either academic or work-related.
- Competency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
- High School Diploma
Position Details
This position is a temporary 3 month contract-to-permanent part-time position, starting immediately. After the training period is complete, if your performance is acceptable, you will be eligible for a permanent position.
